Miele has replaced this vacuum with the Miele S5981 Capricorn Power Team.
The hose makes all electrical connections automatically when inserted into the cleaner. The dark grey telescopic SET 210 Direct Connect Electric Wand has all internal electrical wiring and the quick disconnect feature at both the top and bottom. There are absolutely no external cords between the machine and powerbrush.
The Miele S5980 Capricorn vacuum is a complete power team including the SES 130 Direct Connect Electric Hose with fingertip speed controls & on/off switch, SET 210 Direct Connect Electric Wand and deluxe SEB 217-3 Direct Connect Powerbrush.
The Miele Capricorn Vacuum's Sealed System™ is designed to accommodate the included Active Certified HEPA Filter ($49.95) or the optional Active Air Clean Filter ($36.95) to provide clean, fresh air. These can be used instead of the Super Air Clean Filter which is the standard exhaust filter in some Miele vacuum cleaners.
